DataCloud
DataCloud Data Center, Belgium
DataCloud is a Tier III data center located in Aalst (BE).
All installations and components at DataCloud are redundant: Power, air conditioning and telecoms accesses.
DataCloud is a Carrier neutral data center which is based on the latest "Code of Conduct" published by the European Union on energy efficiency. Therefore, DataCloud decided to focus on high-density situations, with advanced cooling technologies such as fresh air in order to reduce the PUE (Power Usage efficiency) to a level as low as 1.27.
DataCloud is a brand new data center, hence there is plenty of space and the first references are in the process of being installed. Currently we have phase 1 out of 3 operational. It encompasses 200m? of IT space (68 racks in a cold corridor). There is room for expansion up to 600 m?.
DataCloud monitors power, cooling, data connectivity and data security on a permanent basis. Whenever a customer decides to set up a DRS, backup or primary infrastructure, this triggers a systematical project approach at DataCloud, based on the Prince 2 methodology.
