Latisys Corp. owns and operates the 86,000 square foot, Tier III Private Data Center and Co-location facility in Oak Brook, IL just west of Chicago.
This hardened facility is impervious to natural disaster featuring 12 inch thick steel reinforced concrete wall construction able to withstand sustained winds in excess of 200 mph.
With over 12 MW total power, brought in from diverse sub-stations, this facility has the power and design to accommodate over 150 watts per square foot. We also offer hot air containment cabinets necessary to deploy high density applications such as blade servers.
6 diesel generators, each with it's own 2000 gallon belly tank, provide the ability for the data center to continue to function at full capacity for extended periods of time in the unlikely event of a prolonged interruption in primary power.
With over 2900 tons of cooling available, the Latisys-Chicago data center features redundancy of power and cooling, and back up units are tested under load on a regular basis.
Security is paramount at Latisys-Chicago and the center employs a 24/7/365 NOC staff, biometric and card key access, two mantraps and monitored video surveillance systems to protect your business.
There are tremendous amounts of fiber on the premise allowing for connectivity to be provided from virtually any carrier you prefer.
We have traditional cage space available as well as private micro-suites and square footage for clients needing a larger footprint.
