Gateway Gulf
Gateway Gulf Data Center, Saudi Arabia
We are a Private Sector, Carrier Neutral, fully Integrated Tier IV Data Center hosting the region's only Internet Exchange, Cloud Platform and Teleport. We currently have two facilities commissioned early this year (Tier IV in Bahrain and a lower Tier in Saudi Arabia) and rapidly expanding in the region. Each facility currently hosts a broad range of anchor clients ranging from banks to oil and gas and quickly expanding.
Distribution is quite important for success. With the Internet Exchange, we are well connected; we have attracted carriers, operators and providers to peer at this neutral point and make these data centers rich with connectivity options for distribution of the content locally and across the region. You will find it possible to come to our facility using Orange, Cable & Wireless, Interroute, Flag and many other providers. An important result is low latency allowing for launch of Hosted Applications and Infrastructure that demands low latency.
Our business model is based on neutrality and open access to address the different sectors of the economy with SAAS, IAAS and PAAS. We facilitate other providers to be hosted at our Data Centers and launch their services in the region with low CAPEX and OPEX.
Positioned uniquely in the region, the Gateway Gulf data center is entirely carrier-neutral. Carrier neutrality is a critical feature of co-location facilities, since it ensures a fully-competitive market for the layer-1 and layer-2 carrier services needed to move traffic to and from your co-located servers. This competitive market in the underlying wholesale service allows internet access providers operating in market like voice, banking, data warehousing, and grid computing, to maximize their margins while relying upon stability of multiple source services.
Adding a new carrier connection with Gateway Gulf facility is as easy as making a call or sending an email to our NOC. No waiting for circuits, and no need to pay high one-time connection fees or be blocked in to long-term contracts. Carrier neutrality brings liquidity to the carrier transport and Internet transit markets.
