The GIBFIBRE Data Centre is a Tier III facility strategically located on elevated ground in Gibraltar to mitigate flood risk. It offers 30 Rittal racks across two hot aisles, with power configurations of 2.5kW or 5kW per rack and 32A switchable PDUs. The data hall maintains cold aisle temperatures at 22°C, supported by N+1 cooling and energy-efficient EC fans.
Power infrastructure includes dual Riello UPS systems in 2N configuration and 2N generator backup capable of sustaining full load independently. Fire protection features 3M Novec 1230 suppression fluid and fire-rated construction throughout.
Connectivity is carrier-neutral, with a resilient 400Gb backbone linking to major European hubs including London, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt. Services include DDoS protection, dedicated internet access, and point-to-point connections.
Security is reinforced with biometric access, CCTV coverage, and ISO27001 certification. The facility also complies with ISO 14644-1 cleanroom standards and offers remote hands, contamination control, and rack access management.
